The Confex Campaign begins
Following the success of their strategy last year, Davies Tanner’s PR team has begun the campaign that will lead up to International Confex in February, with a plan to build on the previous year's achievements.
Last year’s International Confex raised the standard of exhibitions in the meetings and events industry and much progress has been made with National Venue Show; the Confex Group brand is now making giant steps in the world of events. The plan this year is to push Confex’s international sector, which is set to be bigger in 2008 and there’s many new features to this year’s Confex that will be introduced over the coming months.
Obvious from Confex 2007, was the incredible value visitors found in attending the variety of networking opportunities surrounding the show. Events such as the Exhibitor Party have become a key fixture in the industry events diary and due to demand the group has formed Confex After Hours a series of events to run outside of Confex, where new contacts can be made, old contacts refreshed, and where the industry can network and socialise. The first Confex After Hours took place on 7th November at Paper in London – tying in with the start of the busy Christmas events season.
Newscafe, the digital press office at last year's Confex, was a hit with exhibitors and professionals from the media, so will return this year. This means once again, Confex will demonstrate its green credentials by only distributing digital press packs. The media can easily browse press packs at special portals within the Newscafe and download any they wish to take away onto the USB flash drives available to them.
